Junior High and High School Information
School Hours: 8:00 AM—3:00 PM.
JH Courses: Math (pre-algebra in 8th), English, Science/Health, History, Bible, and PE are daily classes.
Chorus and typing are electives that meet weekly.
HS Courses: Students are encouraged to take the college prep track; however, a general diploma can be earned. See the Parent/Student Handbook for courses required for graduation. Chapel is held once a week. The students will hear both “in-house”
and guest speakers.
Yearly School Trips: Each year during the month of September, the students attend a two day retreat. This trip allows us to begin the school year with a spiritual emphasis. It also allows the students and teachers to become well acquainted with each other, building a sense of unity among the student body. Other one day field trips are planned throughout the school year.
SACS Competition/Fine Arts (9th-12th): Each year during the spring, the HS students participate in a three day competition. The competition areas are in the categories of music, platform and speech, arts and crafts, athletics, and academics.
Athletics: Girls’ volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball, and soccer teams are for 7th – 12th grades. For the boys, varsity soccer, and varsity baseball, and JV and varsity basketball teams are available.
